Ratahi, Kareena, and Jocelyn Tomuri  are the brother, sister, and mother team that own and operate Tomuri & Co. Together they have a combined industry experience of over 30 years. 

Tomuri & Co. focus on creative designs, which use a wide variety of floral varieties, "conceptualising and creating both classic and avant-garde creations".

In recent years, Tomuri & Co. has become New Zealand's leading high fashion florist, producing arrangements for Christian Dior NZ, BMW New Zealand, Sky City, Coutts Mercedes-Benz, and Dame Trelise Cooper. 

THE CHALLENGE

WHY TOMURI AND CO. CAME TO ZEALD

Tomuri and Co. were starting to become well known in the industry, but they were also looking to grow their brand awareness to reach their target market. Ratahi knew how to design beautiful floral arrangements, but struggled with how to best showcase his talents online. 

As part of our strategy, we knew that just going live with a new website wasn't going to be enough. We needed a constant stream of good quality traffic to help get the most out of the new website. To achieve this, we recommended that our results team work alongside Tomuri to setup and optimise their Google AdWords campaigns.

#1 CREATE A SUCCESSFUL ADWORDS CAMPAIGN

Having run their own AdWords campaigns in the past, Tomuri understood how it could bring in traffic to the website, but felt that it wasn’t performing as well as it could due to the low conversion rates. Our results team picked up on a number of areas where the campaigns were underperforming and quickly took action to improve it

By reviewing Tomuri's current AdWords setup, Zeald was able to provide some suggestions on what needed to change. We looked into the keywords that they were using, worked together to select top performing keywords, and ensured that the proper matching options were chosen.

#2 SHOWCASE THE BEAUTIFUL DESIGNS

Ratahi had designed floral arrangements "from the simple, to the sublime", but had struggled with how best to display these. As Tomuri & Co. offered an online delivery service throughout New Zealand, it was important that the customers connect with the floral displays on an aesthetic level. 

Zeald knew that a surefire way to display the arrangements was to ensure that all the photos were high quality. From there, they looked to design the website so that nothing would draw attention away from the floral displays. A great way to do this was to have a simple, but classic colour scheme. In addition to this, the layout was designed to look clean and clear, making sure all the images and spaces were exactly the same. This was a great way to show a lot of products in one space.
